FSP-Tech GmbH is an family-owned business based in Essen, Germany. Since 1995, we have been developing and manufacturing emergency showers and emergency shower systems.
Today, we are among the leading suppliers in Germany and across Europe.
Since our founding, we have been driven by the idea: “Built to serve and protect.”
Today, our motto is: “Technology that protects – exactly when it is needed.”
Both belong together. The origin remains; continuous development moves us forward. To keep things working as they do, everything must evolve.
Safety begins with proper preparation. Before a solution is created, we listen. We analyze media, processes, spatial conditions, and the requirements derived from risk assessments and the German BetrSichV. Together with safety officers, MEP planners and plant engineering teams, we translate these requirements into a technical design. We then turn that design into a finished technical solution.
In 1995, Thomas Geier founded FSP-Tech as a sole proprietorship. The young company initially focused on personal protective equipment, industrial supplies and its first emergency showers – laying the groundwork for a future specialization in safety-critical products.
In 2001, an important structural step was taken: FSP-Tech was reorganized as a limited liability company (GmbH). With this new corporate form, the company created the basis for growth, professionalism, and a stronger market position.
In 2003, Thomas Geier took over the company completely and focused it consistently on manufacturing its own products. During this phase, the company began to expand into a manufacturer with an international sales network—a decisive leap forward in its development.
The steadily growing order volume makes a change of location necessary in 2007. FSP-Tech moves from Münstermannstraße to larger premises on Hülsenbruchstraße. This provides more space and new opportunities for administration and production.
In 2011, production will be relocated from Diepholz to Rehden. A significantly larger production site with an area of around 2,000 square meters is being built there. The expansion will improve production capacity and create space for growing series production.
In 2013, the company moved into its current headquarters at Heinz-Bäcker-Straße 27 in Essen. Administration, sales, procurement, design, service, and maintenance are all located on the historic site of the Levin coal mine. The combination of 300 square meters of office space and 900 square meters of workshop and storage space creates a modern base for further growth.
In 2016, the Rehden site got expanded again – this time to a total of 3,000 square meters of production space. Rehden is thus developing into a modern location for economical large-scale series production and a cornerstone for national and international projects.
Our expectations stem from where we come from and how we work. We build by hand, exclusively Made in Germany. As a true emergency-shower manufacturer, we think in solutions, not compromises. Each shower adapts to the infrastructure on-site, not the other way around.
We use only stainless steel.
100% stainless steel means durability, robustness and genuine circularity.
Quality does not end with delivery; it proves itself in operation. We support your facilities with high spare-part availability and overnight express shipping. All products are designed for easy installation, maintenance and replacement of wear parts.
Strong teams are created through diverse perspectives. As once in the mining industry, people of many nationalities work successfully together here.
This diversity shapes the way we collaborate, enhances product quality and represents a contemporary version of “Made in Germany.”
Many nations. One mission: Workplace safety.
Appreciation grows from clear collaboration. Before we make decisions, we listen. We identify strengths, experience and perspectives: as well as working conditions and safety requirements.
Fair and transparent compensation, targeted training, personalized development paths and the consideration of religious needs are natural to us. Fixed working hours, ergonomic workplaces, a modern machine park and up-to-date IT ensure the well-being of our employees and the quality of our products.
This is how strong teams and reliable results are created.
Respect diversity. Use strengths. Ensure quality.
For us, sustainability is a design principle. We develop long-lasting, repairable emergency and eye wash showers: made from 100% stainless steel, fully recyclable. Designs are optimized for ease of assembly. Modules are standardized, interfaces consistent and wear parts easy to access. High spare-part availability throughout the entire lifecycle keeps systems running and downtimes short.
Engineered by craftsmen, sustainably designed.
Beyond the products themselves, we reduce our ecological footprint through photovoltaic systems for self-generated electricity, an electrified vehicle fleet and the planting of fruit trees on our company grounds to support biodiversity. This is how we combine technical safety with responsible everyday action.
Sustainability that makes an impact – on site, every day.
We operate according to DIN EN ISO 9001. At FSP-Tech, this standard functions as an internal quality and process framework: it structures responsibilities, defines workflows from development to after-sales, ensures traceable documentation and promotes continuous improvement.
The design of our emergency and eye wash showers is based on DIN EN 15154 (Parts 1–6) and ANSI Z358.1. For certain stationary applications, DIN 12899-3 is additionally applied. Our products meet the relevant standards, providing clarity for planning, installation and inspection, as well as reliability in audits and approvals.

Our headquarters is located on the grounds of the former Levin coal mine—a fitting symbol of the Ruhr region’s transformation.
Where coal was once mined under harsh conditions, by hand and with almost no safety protections, we now manufacture emergency showers, by hand, for maximum workplace safety.
