Tempered safety showers from FSP-Tech® provide water within the norm-compliant temperature range at all times, ensuring gentle and effective first aid after contamination. They comply with DIN EN 15154-1 and DIN EN 15154-5 and are engineered for safe operation under fluctuating ambient temperatures.
The integrated stainless-steel storage tank serves as a dedicated reservoir, while a thermostat-controlled immersion heater reliably heats the water to approximately 60 °C. To achieve the required flushing temperature, a functioning cold-water supply is essential, as the mixing valve precisely blends the heated tank water. Tempered safety showers can optionally be integrated into a circulation line. Activation is via an ergonomic pull rod that opens a full-flow, non-self-closing valve. A high-performance shower head ensures uniform and full-coverage water distribution.
Tempered safety showers are used wherever mains water temperatures fluctuate significantly or where cold water could impose additional stress on affected individuals. Typical applications include chemical and pharmaceutical production, laboratory environments, mixing rooms, testing areas, and filling stations. They are also ideal for buildings with long pipe runs, ensuring a reliable and consistently tempered water supply – as long as a cold-water inlet is available.
