FSP-Tech® supplies tagout tags and identification that make a secured isolation point visible and document who secured it. The tag is attached together with the safety padlock and can be completed by hand. The product range comprises a standard version in the 76 mm x 146 mm format with a brass eyelet, a compact version in the 40 mm x 120 mm format and a roll of 200 tags in a dispenser. PVC film, paper and synthetic paper are available as materials. Identification for lockout points on machines and pipelines and a label pad for short-term notes complete the range.
Tagout tags are used wherever a secured isolation point has to remain recognizable to others. They name the person who secured it and the reason for securing. In operations with changing shifts and external service providers, this is the basis for making sure that nobody removes someone else’s padlock. Lockout point identification complements this at the installation itself: it names the energy isolation point permanently and makes the isolation procedure verifiable. In multilingual teams, tags in additional languages are useful so that safety information is not misunderstood. On the shadow board, small tags document which pool padlock is currently in use.
