FSP-Tech® supplies shadow boards and group lock boxes that bring the Lockout/Tagout equipment together in one place and make the release of an installation verifiable. The group lock box holds the keys of the secured isolation points and is closed by every person involved with their own safety padlock. The versions hold seven or 13 padlocks. Shadow boards are made to measure and provided with shadows for the equipment in use. Rigid PVC foam, aluminum composite panel and magnetic steel composite panel are available as base materials. Besides the wall-mounted version there is a mobile board, a weatherproof version inside an enclosure as well as boards for training and first aid.
Shadow boards and group lock boxes are used wherever LoTo is not left at the level of individual padlocks but organized as a procedure. The group lock box is used during maintenance shutdowns involving several trades: the keys of the secured isolation points are kept in the box, and the installation stays locked until the last padlock has been removed. Shadow boards make visible which equipment is currently in use and shorten the search before an isolation. In large halls the mobile board is taken directly to the point of use, and outdoors and on construction sites the weatherproof version protects the equipment. Safety boards additionally bring first aid material and eye wash solution together in the same place.
How a board has to be built follows from the equipment it is meant to hold and from the place where it hangs. We record what is in use, define dimensions, material and layout and supply the board ready equipped for the relevant plant area on request. We also match the composition of the LoTo sets to it.
