Lockout/Tagout by FSP-Tech®
Securing hazardous energies before maintenance work

Lockout/Tagout, or LoTo for short, is the procedure used to isolate a plant from its energy sources before maintenance work and to secure it against unintentional re-energization. Every energy isolation point is mechanically locked, identified and closed with a personal padlock. For electrical installations this is the second of the five safety rules, and the same logic applies to mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic energies. LoTo only takes effect when the equipment and the procedure match. Safety as a system therefore does not mean a single padlock, but a procedure that can be followed and verified. FSP-Tech® supplies the matching lockout devices, padlocks and identification, along with advice on organizing the process in each plant area.

Made to Measure

Which equipment a site requires follows from the energy isolation points present and from the number of people securing at the same time. We record the isolation points, put together the matching equipment and supply it on request as an equipped shadow board for the relevant plant area.
